Love the Little Things in Life/Frosted Designs Blog Hop

Hello everyone! Frosted Designs is having an amazing blog hop.

If you haven't check them out do so!  They have some amazing sponsors and great inspiration from their design team. Since I am the only girl in this house hold I need reminding to do some more "girly" layouts.  I found a picture of my mother and I on Mother's Day from 2011. I did a layout using this picture. I used pieces from My Mind's Eye and Prima.

Captain Noah/Let's Get Sketchy

I love these pictures of Noah even though you can't see his face. Recently we took a vacation to the beach. One afternoon we took a boat ride on the Sea Blaster.  It was fun, but the best part was watching Noah get to drive the boat. I used a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy by their sketch designer Bev Code.  I used supplies by Echo Park, Making Memories, Studio Calico, Heidi Swapp, Jenni Bowlin and Tim Holtz.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

My Guys

I have entered this layout in two challenges, Sketch N Scrap and About A Boy Scrapbook Challenge. This layout is based on the sketch from Brenshevia the sketch artist at Sketch N Scrap. About A Boy's challenge was to use circles.  The pictures are of my son and husband from Father's Day.  Yes, my son is holding a sheet cake. My son, with my help, baked him a cake! My husband loved it!! I used Teresa Collins' He Said She Said collection. I inked the edges of the pattern paper using Kaisercraft's Sepia. The thickets are from Amy Tangerine called Muse. The circle stamp is Good Day by Ali Edwards. I used Tim Holtz's Barn Door Distress Ink.   I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Pieces of my Heart/Frosted Designs

I am back from a much needed vacation.  It was nice to take Noah to where I went to on family vacations as a child.  Here is my layout using Fancy Pants' My Family.  I inked the two large piecesof pattern  paper with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress ink.  I added a grungeboard heart from Tim Holtz and colored it using a distress pen, Barn Door.  This picture is one of my favorites of Noah and my husband walking on the beach.  I entered this in Frosted Designs challenge. This challenge was to use polka dots.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

The Pier/Scrap Our Stash

Scrap Our Stash has a unique challenge. You must create a layout using this sketch:

While creating the layout you must use scraps only and include:
*A pre-made (purchased) tag and/or per-made (purchased) journaling card or
*Twine or jute

Here is my layout:

The background paper is from The Loft. I love it because it reminds of the boards on the pier.  The three pieces of pattern paper are also from The Paper Loft's collection The Zone.  The background of the pictures are from Heidi Swapp. The tag is school themed journaling tag that I have had for so long I can't remember where it came from! All I need to do is to add journaling. I hope you like it and thanks  for stopping by!

Waves/Let's Get Sketchy Challenge

This week at Let's Get Sketchy they have a cute little sketch featuring three places for pictures.  I used Bo Bunny's Key Lime and Turqoise Dot on a piece of white cardstock. These pictures are of my son and husband in the water. This was my son's second beach trip in four years. There was a rip current and the life guards would only let people go into the water at certain spots.  Noah lasted about twenty minutes in the ocean until he asked if we go go to the pool where we stayed the remainder of the day!  I hope you my layout and thanks for stopping by!

The Best/Let's Get Sketchy

With Father's Day coming up I decided to do a layout on my husband using the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.  I love this sketch!! My husband does not like having his picture taken.  Trying to get him to look at me or even smile is like pulling teeth!  I didn't have as many pictures as what the sketch called for so I decided to use fewer pictures.  I used Jillibean Soup's Macho Nacho collection and a button dot from Little Yellow Bicycle's Naturals collection. I still have journaling to do on the card.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!!

I was really pleased with this layout! I love The Paper Loft!! I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!!

Hello Fall/Life.Paper.Scrapbook

I was intrigued by this sketch by Life. Paper. Scrapbook.  Here is the sketch:

I did my layout a little different.  I used pictures of some of my favorite things about fall that I had taken this past October.  Yes, I am trying to play catch up!  Instead of the circles I used a banner.  I used Simple Stories Harvest Lane. I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Still

I created this layout from a sketch by Frosted Designs for a challenge.  Here is the sketch and my layout:

There is a twist with this challenge. You have to use something with wings on the layout.  It could be a butterfly, airplane, bird, etc.  As I was looking through my photos trying to decide what to use, I found a picture of a butterfly. I took this picture last week on our trip to the zoo.  What luck!  I used Crate Paper's Restoration Collection.  I used some bling from Prima and the alphas are from Fancy Pants.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

100% Happy

This layout is of my favorite two subjects to photograph and scrapbook, my husband and son! I used Little Yellow Bicycle's Park Bench.  This layout is from a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.  Here is the sketch and my layout.

I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Feeding Time

This layout "Feeding Time" is about my son feeding a giraffe and an elephant at the zoo.  Going to the zoo is one of our favorite summer time activities.  On this layout I used Bo Bunny's Zoology collection.  Other times I used are kraft and orange cardstock and brads.  I used 5 brads. Each one has a word on it.  I have had these so long that I am not sure whom the manufacturer is.  I am entering this layout in several challenges:
Sketch-N-Scrap; sketch challenge and the sketch is by Lisa
About A Boy; challenge is to show your son's favorite summer or holiday activity
Scrap Our Stash; challenge is to create a layout about a male using 5 or more brads
Use Your Stuff; challenge to create a layout that reminds you of summer.

I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Frosted Designs Blog Hop

Frosted Designs is having a blog hop.  I really enjoyed this blog hop!  First we had to hop to each blog then make a project using this sketch:
Next you had to pick 3 items/techniques to use on your project.  You also had to go to the sponsors, Molossi and Graphic 45, facebook pages and show a little love. Here is my layout:

On my layout I used masking and  stamping for my techniques.  For my items I used pearls/bling, patterned paper, and ink.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!!

Luke/Button Challenge

One of Sketch-N-Scrap's Challenges was to create a layout using buttons from Kelly.  You can visit her blog here.  I have already submitted one layout and decided to enter this one to.  I wanted to do a layout about a very special boy, Luke.  He has MPS and the color for awareness day is purple. The one color I didn't have in my stash of paper except for 2 pieces. Then I remembered I had purple ink and buttons!  This is what I came up with:

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Sketch-N-Scrap Double Page Sketch

Here is another Sketch-N-Scrap birthday celebration from Lynette.  Her challenge is a double page sketch.  Here it is:
Here is what I came up with:

I used Echo Park's Little Boy collection.  I also used Little Yellow Bicycle's burlap stickers from their Naturals collection and the pennants are from Elle's Studio.  I wanted the pages to be bright and cheerful like the day was during my son's field trip.  It was a great day! I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Splash Pad/Sketch with a Twist Challenge

One of the challenges for Sketch-N-Scrap's Birthday Challenges is from Lisa at Sketch-N-Scrap.  Here is the sketch:

With this sketch is a Twist.  You can create a layout or card based on the sketch, but you must use One or more of the following twists:
                                          *use a theme of summer
*use two or more alphabets on your layout/card
*use a die cut paper on your layout/card.

This is what I came up with:

I used a piece of orange cardstock and Fancy Pants Collection Beach Bum for this layout.  The red alphas glitter thickers are from American Crafts and the yellow alphas are from Jellibean Soup. I didn't have a die cut piece to use on this.  I cut out a circle for the background piece.  In all I use two twists for this challenge.  This is a picture of my son at a local splash pad. We will be spend a great amount of time there I am sure! Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!
