The winner will be announced on October 6, 2013

I chose sketch #2:

First I chose GH, graph paper and hearts, but the paper I used for my background looked more like ledger paper not graph paper. Next I chose AB, arrows and brads.  I still included the hearts by using a heart brad.  The supplies I used are Crate Paper and Fancy Pants. Here is my sketch:

My son is in the second grade and his teacher is tough. I requested her because she will prepare him for the third grade.   Every night it has been a battle getting him to do his homework.  On this particular night he did not argue with me. He did all of his homework.  When he was finished he smiled, told me he loved me and that I was the best mom in the whole world! Priceless!! And to top it off he said let's take a picture! He melts my heart! I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!!

Perfect/About A Boy

The second challenge from About A Boy is a sketch. I love this sketch.  Here is the sketch and my layout with a close up picture:

I turned the sketch on its side to accommodate my picture.  The supplies I used are Bo Bunny, Bazzill Basics, Tim Holtz, and Queen & Co.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

100% Sweet Love

For this layout I combined to challenges.  The first challenge is from Use Your Words. The word for this challenge is "Sweet."  I wanted to do another layout for my wedding album. I chose to pictures from our wedding reception.  I used a sketch from Sketch N Scrap.  This is the sketch and my layout with some close up photos:

I was intrigued by this sketch. This is the type of sketch I tend to shy away from.  Combining both challenges made this layout work. I am really pleased with it!  The supplies I used are Fancy Pants, Bazzill Basics, and Studio Calico.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Movies/About A Boy

About A Boy has a new challenge for September.  It is to use the colors white, black and one other color.  I chose as my "other" color red.  Here is my layout:

The supplies I used are Simple Stories, Bo Bunny and American Crafts.  This is a picture of my son, Noah  and his best friend Kaleb.  It was the week before school starts and my husband and I took them to the movies to see Despicable Me 2.  We always try to do something special right before school starts.  He chose the movies. I took their picture in front of a big display for the new movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

One Tough Dude

I decided to combine two challenges for this layout. Use Your Words challenge for this month is TOUGH.  Let's Get Sketchy challenge is this amazing sketch:
I combined the two challenges and this is what I came up with:

I turned the sketch and left off the scalloped edges.  The supplies I used are Basic Grey, Tattered Angels, Bazzill, and American Crafts.  This is a picture of my son when he was six. He was full of attitude and always wanted to dress himself!  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!!

Mr. Whiskers/Sketch-N-Scrap

Hello September! I can't believe it is already here.  Along with the new month comes a new sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap.  Here is the sketch and my layout:

We have a new addition to our home, a cat. We knew there were a couple of stray cats in the woods behind our house. They had never come up to the house except for this little one.  My husband started feeding him and you know once you feed them they never go away! My son feel in love with him and named him Mr. Whiskers.  One day he ask if he could take my camera and take some pictures of him. I used these snapshots on this layout.  The supplies I used are Amy Tangerine, Jillibean Soup and Kaiser Crafts.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

42 Books/Frosted Designs

This week at Frosted Designs their challenge is to use numbers.  I decided to use a picture of Noah at the public library reading a book.  This summer he read 42 books! I was so proud of him!! Here is my layout:

The supplies I used are The Paper Loft and Becky Higgins.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!
