Snapshots of Easter 1973/Scrappy Friends Challenge

I am back with another layout for Scrappy Friends Challenge.  I love these challenges! As you know there are 3 separate challenges or you can combine all 3 challenges!  I listed each challenge with the link underneath so you can visit each.

(I used burlap, triangle, and journal card.)

Here is my layout:

The supplies I used are Studio Calico, Brazzill Basics, Little Yellow Bicycle, and Tim Holtz.
For Brenda's challenge (sketch), I used 2 pictures instead of 3 and the journal card as the center.  For Rochelle's challenge (tic tac toe), I used the burlap, triangle, and journal card.  The burlap is the heart.  Of course for Kelly's challenge (word) I used the word Easter.  FYI, that is me at 2 years old with my granny and 2 uncles! I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Cotton Fields/Colorful Creations

Hi! I have another layout I completed for a sketch challenge at Colorful Creations.  Here is the sketch:

Here is what I came up with:

I know it doesn't look exactly like the sketch.  I changed it up and added some ink.  I used one picture instead of two.  I liked this sketch so much I actually did another layout using it!  Yep, that is me at 5 months with my father in a cotton field.  I don't know why, but I like this picture.  I guess it reminds me of playing at my grandparents house when I was a child. Those cotton fields were right beside their house.  Anyway, enough reminiscing about the old days! The supplies I used are Bazzill Basics, Maggie Holmes, Crate Paper, Hero Arts, Dear Lizzy, and Ranger Ink.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

I have a new layout I finished for Sketch-N-Scrap's first challenge for the month of April.  I decided to dig into my stash of some old pictures and found this great picture of my mom.  I love this picture of her! Here is Sketch-N-Scrap's sketch:
Isn't this sketch awesome? I love it! Here is my layout with a close up of the title:

The supplies I used are Lily Bee Designs,Tim Holtz, My Mind's Eye, Dear Lizzy, Shabby Chic Crafts and Ranger.  The title is heat emmbossed using Tim Holtz's Fired Brick.  Be sure to check out Sketch-N-Scrap blog.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Hope/Scrapping Everyday Miracles

Hi everyone! I am here with my layout for Scrapping Everyday Miracles.  This month's theme is Faith, Hope, Love (choose one or more).  The Bible Verse Inspirations are:
Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."
Romans 15:13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Spirit you may abound in hope."
1 Corinthians 16:14 "Let all that you do be done in love."
There is also a card and layout challenge to.  Here is the layout sketch and my layout:

This picture is one of my favorites of my son (he is in the middle).  I know his back is to me, but it shows his character and his big heart.  I work as an aide for the special needs unit at the school where my son attends school. Every other week I walk two students to the school bus.  My son begs me to go because he wants to help them.  He loves these kids as if they were his brothers.  He doesn't see them as different. He sees them as boys his age and classmates.  I love that!! I HOPE he will always be this loving.

The supplies I used are from a kit I purchased from Studio Calico called Copper Mountain. The two things I used that was not from the kit was the arrow (Studio Calico) and washi tape (Recollections).

Stop by Scrapping Everyday Miracles and enter a challenge.  There is some great inspiration!! I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!
