Camp Scrap 2014

Happy Monday! I am super excited because Camp Scrap 2014 starts today! There is still time to register.  The talented May Flaum will be teaching four classes:  Art Journaling, By Design, Kit-Tastic, and Mixed Media.  You can register for all four or ever how many you want.  Me I am only taking two; By Design and Kit-Tastic. I am not into art journaling or mixed media.  But I have feeling I will be by next year!  I have taken several classes by May and I have learned so much! I love the fact that the content in the class stays there so I can go back and review if I need to.  Go to her site to check out the classes here.  Here are some items I have made from past classes I have taken with May:

Some turned out great, I think, and others not so good.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Stains, and Paint.  I also used Dylusions Ink Spray that has become a favorite of mine.  If you missed it, in March I posted some scrapbook layouts I did with some techniques that I learned from one of May's classes. You can see it here. Like I said before if you haven't go visit May Falum website and her class site. She has so much inspiration and I love the way she teaches!  Thanks for stopping by!

Finally Fish/Let's Get Sketchy Week #4

Hi everyone! I have a layout that I did using Week #4's sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.  Here is the sketch and my layout:

I used Bo Bunny's Family Is collection.  Other supplies I used are Bazzill Basics, Ranger and Fancy Pants.

For Noah's birthday we gave him a fish tank minus the fish.  I know, I know.  Bad mom.  I just now got around to getting fish for his tank.  I will blame my other half for waiting to put the tank up!  Noah was so excited to get the fish! All he could say was "Finally Fish!"  I took him to Wal-Mart to buy the fish.  I didn't want to spend a lot of money on fish and him not take care of them.  He picked out 4 Neon Tetras and 1 algae eater.  We are down to 2 Neons and we still have the algae eater.  At first he was upset, but now he just wants to go get more! We will, of course, in a week or two! Thanks for stopping by!

Pure Sweetness/Black with Two Challenge

Have you ever just stumbled upon a challenge blog that is intriguing?  That is what happened to me when I came upon Black with Two.  I thought this was a great challenge for me since I usally never ever use the colors that were in the mood board.  I have one son who is the subject of all my layouts!  Here is the mood board, sketch, and my layout:

If you haven't checked out Black with Two please do so.  There is some awesome inspiration on the blog!  Also if you plan on doing the challenge check out the rules page!  I used the sketch pretty much how it is except I used one picture instead of two.  The supplies I used are Bazzill Basics, Basic Grey, and Bo Bunny.  Thanks for stopping by!

Super Awesome/Let's Get Sketchy Week #1

Hi! Happy June!! I have a layout I just finished using Let's Get Sketchy sketch for the challenge week one. I love this sketch!  Here is their sketch and my layout:

The supplies I used are Crate Paper, Bazill Basics, Tim Holtz and Ranger Ink.  I haven't added my journaling yet because it is private.  Some of you know that I work as an aide with special needs kids.  They always try to let me go on field trips with a child that is in the same grade as my son.  My son loves these kids and especially the one in the picture.  On this day it was park day.  My son stopped playing with his friends to play with this child.  He was showing him how to play basketball. He has such a BIG heart.  It makes me proud. Yeah, I know I am a little bias, after all he is mine! Thanks for stopping by!

Principal's Award/Sketch-N-Scrap #58

Hi everyone! Happy June! We finally are out of school and are enjoying the time off.  I have a layout I completed using Sketch-N-Scrap sketch for June. Here is the sketch and my layout:

I used Fancy Pants Collection 'Be Different.'  I love the colors in this collection. They are so pretty and vibrant!  This layout is about my son winning the Principal's Award for his class.  This award is kind of a big deal at school.  This is his last year at his Elementary school. Now he is on to the Intermediate school.  Part of me wants to keep him little and beside me at all times! Sorry....feeling a little sad.  Anyway, I hope you like my layout and thanks for stopping by!
