Super Awesome/Let's Get Sketchy Week #1

Hi! Happy June!! I have a layout I just finished using Let's Get Sketchy sketch for the challenge week one. I love this sketch!  Here is their sketch and my layout:

The supplies I used are Crate Paper, Bazill Basics, Tim Holtz and Ranger Ink.  I haven't added my journaling yet because it is private.  Some of you know that I work as an aide with special needs kids.  They always try to let me go on field trips with a child that is in the same grade as my son.  My son loves these kids and especially the one in the picture.  On this day it was park day.  My son stopped playing with his friends to play with this child.  He was showing him how to play basketball. He has such a BIG heart.  It makes me proud. Yeah, I know I am a little bias, after all he is mine! Thanks for stopping by!

Me and Willie/Let's Get Sketchy

It's not the real Willie Robertson from Duck Dynasty. It is just a cardboard cut out we found at Wal-Mart. Of course, I put Noah beside it and got him to pose and the whole time I am thinking this is going to be great for a scrapbook layout. Does anyone else do this? I used the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy. I used Later Sk8r from Close to my Heart.  The thickers are from American Crafts. The flair buttons are from a kit I purchased a while back. Here is the sketch and my layout.

Ready Set Go/Let's Get Sketchy

For this layout I used the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy blog.  I used Amy Tangerine's Ready Set Go.  I just need to add some journaling.  I used pictures from when my son was one. I can't believe he is seven now. Where does the time go? I also can't believe I have never used these in a layout. I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Life is Good/Let's Get Sketchy

Today's layout is based on the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy. Here is the sketch and my layout:

I used Fancy Pants Designs The Good Life collection.  Instead of cutting the photograph horizontal like the sketch, I cut it vertically.  This photo is from our trip to the beach. I never get tired of taking pictures of the beautiful sunsets at the beach.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Captain Noah/Let's Get Sketchy

I love these pictures of Noah even though you can't see his face. Recently we took a vacation to the beach. One afternoon we took a boat ride on the Sea Blaster.  It was fun, but the best part was watching Noah get to drive the boat. I used a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy by their sketch designer Bev Code.  I used supplies by Echo Park, Making Memories, Studio Calico, Heidi Swapp, Jenni Bowlin and Tim Holtz.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Waves/Let's Get Sketchy Challenge

This week at Let's Get Sketchy they have a cute little sketch featuring three places for pictures.  I used Bo Bunny's Key Lime and Turqoise Dot on a piece of white cardstock. These pictures are of my son and husband in the water. This was my son's second beach trip in four years. There was a rip current and the life guards would only let people go into the water at certain spots.  Noah lasted about twenty minutes in the ocean until he asked if we go go to the pool where we stayed the remainder of the day!  I hope you my layout and thanks for stopping by!

The Best/Let's Get Sketchy

With Father's Day coming up I decided to do a layout on my husband using the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.  I love this sketch!! My husband does not like having his picture taken.  Trying to get him to look at me or even smile is like pulling teeth!  I didn't have as many pictures as what the sketch called for so I decided to use fewer pictures.  I used Jillibean Soup's Macho Nacho collection and a button dot from Little Yellow Bicycle's Naturals collection. I still have journaling to do on the card.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!!
