Molly

Last week I had to have my dog, Molly put down.  I have had her for over 15 years.  It was devastating.  Two years ago she was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure.  Two months ago she started coughing real bad with some other problems.  I took her to the vet fearing the worst.  The fluid had started building up around her heart and in her lungs.  The vet gave her some meds to help the cough.  We talked about what was about to come.  I started preparing myself.  Then one day she stopped eating and became weak.  I called the vet and took her in.  By then she had stopped coughing all together and was so weak she could not stand.  The vet told me it was time.

Molly was a wonderful dog.  She was a lap dog.  She would sit in my lap or at my feet.  She would follow me from room to room.  She was around 18 years old.  In human years she was 88.  I will truly miss her.

This past weekend I went to a crop and scrapbooked these two layouts celebrating my Molly.

The supplies I used for this layout are Simple Stories and Freckled Fawn.

This is what my journaling says:
I am strong -well getting there! I started in January walking.  That turned into running.  Finally, after six months I ran one mile without stopping.  Six and half months later I ran a mile and half! I could not believe it! I am stronger than I thought I was and getting stronger by the day!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cherish/Kraft +

Hi! I have another layout to share with you that I did for Kraft+.  The challenge is a photo inspiration and yellow paint.  Here is the challenge and my layout:

I used Tim Holtz Distress Paint in Mustard Seed.  The Cherish is from Amy Tangerine and  the black arrow is from Freckled Fawn.  The rest is from my stash.

This picture is of my son giving me a dandelion.  Everytime he goes outside he always picks me a "flower" and gives it to me.  Sometimes it drives me crazy because I will forget about it and then he gets his feelings hurt.  I know one day he will stop, but I will always cherish those little flowers!
If you like working with Kraft paper like I do be sure to check out Kraft+.  Thanks for stopping by!
