2 Awards Layout

This layout is of my son holding his awards that he received on awards day. We were so proud of him! He got one for A yearly average and Good Citizenship.  I used Pebbles Seen and Noted collection.  I used two punches and punched the circles.  I added buttons to each circle except one.  I love that buttons come in different shapes and sizes!

I am entering this layout in 2 challenges. Scrap-N-Sketch is celebrating their birthday by having challenges everyday for a month.  This challenge by Kelly was to use buttons on a layout or card.  The other challenge is for Frosted Designs.  Their Fabulous Friday Challenge is to use punches.

BFF/Ink and Stain Challenge @ Sketch-N-Scrap

One of the challenges for Sketch-N-Scrap's Birthday Bash is to use ink, stains or/and spray from Heather.  I don't use a lot of spray so I decided to use it. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone.  This is my perfect chance! I used a mask from The Crafter's Workshop called Bricks.  I also used Tattered Angels' Glitter Mist Turquoise Blue.  The paper is from Basic Grey's Out of Print Collection.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Family/Birthday Bash Kit Challenge-The Sequel

In an earlier post I made a scrapbook kit for Sketch-N-Scrap's Birthday Bash from Lisa. Check out her blog here.  The next challenge is to make a layout using the kit.  On my layout I actually used every piece from my kit! I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!!

Layout Guest Designer/Sketch N Scrap

This sketch from Sketch N Scrap  was their first sketch on their blog.  Someone will be selected to be the guest designer for July based on this sketch.  I used Studio Calico's School Spirit Collection.  The red alphas are thickers from American Crafts.  I followed the sketch except for the pictures.  I turned the pictures to accommodate the size of them.  Since I work at the school Noah never has to ride the bus.  He has only rode it on field trips.  He begged me to ride it.  A coworker of mine is also a bus driver.  She said Noah could ride the bus with her to her house and I could pick him up later.  He loved it! If he had to ride the bus everyday I bet he would have a differnt idea about it.  I hope you like it!

Twine Challenge/Sketch N Scrap

This challenge for Sketch N Scrap's birthday bash is from Ria, card designer.   The challenge is to make a card, layout or an altered project using twine. I used a piece of Kraft paper for the card and for the envelope on the card. I cut it by hand.  I used a heart punch and Dolled Up from My Mind's Eye to make the hearts.  The red hearts were made from a scrap piece of card stock.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

The Paper Loft

A couple of weeks ago my mom and I went to our first Creating Keepsakes Convention.  We took some classes and one of those was taught by The Paper Loft.  I fell in love with their paper!  If you haven't, check them out!  I created this layout using their sketch and their collection In The Zone.  I used a piece of Kraft card stock for the background.  Thanks for stopping by!

White + One Other Color/About A Boy

The second challenge from About A Boy scrapbook challenge for the month of May is to use white plus one other color.  I chose the color blue.  I used Lily Bee's Handmade Patchwork.  The white alpha letters are from the Naturals collection from Little Yellow Bicycle.  My sweet boy was home from school for two days with a stomach virus.  I snapped this picture of him sleeping.  I hope you like it and have a great day!

Sketch N Scrap #33

Sketch #33 is from Sketch N Scrap.  I used Simple Stories' Summer Fresh collection.  The only thing I did different from the sketch was the placement of the banner.  I hope you like it and have a great week.

Today and Everyday/Tic Tac Toe

Sketch N Scrap is having a birthday bash! They turned 1 and are having awesome challenges!! Stop by!  This is their birthday challenge for Friday, the 10th.  It is by design team member Kerry. The challenge was a tic tac toe board:

I chose yellow, stamping, and buttons.  I haven't stamped in a while and I don't use yellow a lot. I thought this was the perfect combo for me!  I used Fancy Pants' collection Park Bench.  I used Little Yellow Bicycle's stamps Everyday with black ink by craft smart.

Thanks for stopping by!

Three/Frosted Designs

I found a new scrapbooking blog called Frosted Designs.  This month's challenge is to use 3 colors; black, white, and any other color that you choose to use.  I decided to use the collection Renew from Authentique.  I used black, white and a greenish/turquoise color. I am not sure the exact name of it. I kept the layout simple.  I used a photo of me which I rarely do.  Under the paper I have a journaling card.  I cut a piece of black paper and created a loop to pull the card out.  I wanted to keep the journaling private.  Thanks for stopping by!
(In the picture I know the background looks blue, but it is black.)

Meeting Tony Stewart/About A Boy

A couple of weeks a ago we had the opportunity to meet Nascar driver Tony Stewart.  No one was allowed to take photographs with him.  It was so quick I didn't even get a picture of my son getting his autograph.  Anyway my husband enjoyed meeting him and all my son wanted to do was see his car. What is it about boys and fast cars? I did a layout using Basic Grey's Knee Highs and Bow Ties.   I love this line!  The small mini alphas are from Kaisercraft.! I entered this layout in About A Boy Scrapbook Challenge.  This month the challenge was to create your child being a typical boy.  In this case I captured father and son being typical boys! Thanks for stopping by!

Time with Mom/Sketch-N-Scrap

I hope everyone had a great time celebrating National Scrapbook Day. I know I did! I went to my first Creating Keepsakes Convention with my mom. We had a blast! It was fun taking classes and of course shopping! I did a layout featuring some pictures I took of my mom at the convention. I used a sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap. Here it is:

I used Bo Bunny's Family Is. I love this line! The mini alphas are from Kaisercraft and the red alphas are Loopy Love from Doodlebug Design.  I turned the sketch to accomidate my photos.  This is why I love sketches!!  I hope you like it!! Have a great week!!
