Mr. Sparks/Sketch-N-Scrap

For the second sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap for July I used pictures from the first time I met Nicholas Sparks.  He is the author of many books that have been made into movies such as The Notebook, Message in a Bottle and A Walk to Remember.  I came across these pictures and realized I had not scrapped them! I used Echo Park's For the Record Collection.  Even though the sketch called for 3 pictures I only used 2.

Our Day/Sketch-N-Scrap

Happy Fourth of July! I hope everyone is having a great day. It is pouring down raining here and will be most of the day. We are going to attempt to cook out later. Hopefully the rain will lighten up later for some fireworks. Sadly most of our day will probably be infront of the TV. Anyway, here is a layout I did using Sketch-N-Scrap's sketch for their challenge.

The supplies I used are Crate Paper, Tim Holtz, Technique Tuesday/Ali Edwards, Little Yellow Bicycle, Studio G and Bazzill. I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

My Guys

I have entered this layout in two challenges, Sketch N Scrap and About A Boy Scrapbook Challenge. This layout is based on the sketch from Brenshevia the sketch artist at Sketch N Scrap. About A Boy's challenge was to use circles.  The pictures are of my son and husband from Father's Day.  Yes, my son is holding a sheet cake. My son, with my help, baked him a cake! My husband loved it!! I used Teresa Collins' He Said She Said collection. I inked the edges of the pattern paper using Kaisercraft's Sepia. The thickets are from Amy Tangerine called Muse. The circle stamp is Good Day by Ali Edwards. I used Tim Holtz's Barn Door Distress Ink.   I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Luke/Button Challenge

One of Sketch-N-Scrap's Challenges was to create a layout using buttons from Kelly.  You can visit her blog here.  I have already submitted one layout and decided to enter this one to.  I wanted to do a layout about a very special boy, Luke.  He has MPS and the color for awareness day is purple. The one color I didn't have in my stash of paper except for 2 pieces. Then I remembered I had purple ink and buttons!  This is what I came up with:

Time with Mom/Sketch-N-Scrap

I hope everyone had a great time celebrating National Scrapbook Day. I know I did! I went to my first Creating Keepsakes Convention with my mom. We had a blast! It was fun taking classes and of course shopping! I did a layout featuring some pictures I took of my mom at the convention. I used a sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap. Here it is:

I used Bo Bunny's Family Is. I love this line! The mini alphas are from Kaisercraft and the red alphas are Loopy Love from Doodlebug Design.  I turned the sketch to accomidate my photos.  This is why I love sketches!!  I hope you like it!! Have a great week!!

"How I Roll" Sketch N Scrap #29

For this layout I used Sketch N Scrap's sketch. This past week my son got to ride in a limo for selling 32 boxes of cookie dough! He was so excited! For the layout I used:
Blue card stock: Tim Holtz & Ranger Distress Collection
Star Paper: Bella Blvd.'s Mr. Boy Collection
White alpha stickers: Karen Foster Designs
Blue alpha stickers: Doodle Bug Design's Loopy Love
All other pattern paper: Fancy Pants's Rough and Tough Collection

I really liked how this layout turned out.  I also hope you enjoy it and have a wonderful Easter!

Curious Sketch n Scrap #28

Hello,
I hope everyone is enjoying March.  Luckily we are enjoying some warm weather in Alabama.  I am sure it will be short lived.  Alabama does have crazy weather! I have been busy this weekend with project life, OLW, and some layouts for some challenges.  As you may know I am a fan of Sketch n Scrap and did a layout for their sketch challenge.  Here is the sketch:
Here is my layout:

I used the Quite Contrary Collection from My Mind's Eye. I love the colors of this collections and thought it fit with my son's exploring his new playground.  I hope you enjoy it.  Thanks for stopping by!
