Bible Journaling

In May of this year I discovered Bible Journaling from Shanna Noel.  I was intrigued! Honestly part of me was asking myself could I do that in my Bible? Could I do that in any Bible?  I decided to take the plung.  I went to a local Christian book store and bought a NIV Journaling Bible.  Two months later I actually did my first page.  I was nervous! After I did it, I was hooked! While I was journaling it took reading my Bible to a whole new level! It defiitely brought me closer to God.  Most of my pages are from the notes I took from Church services, my favorite verses or devotionals.  Some pages I stamped, added stickers, or doodled (which I am  not great at!). Check out Shanna Noel's blog here for great inspiration.  Also there is a Facebook group here for Bible Journaling.  Just send an invite and someone will include you in the group.  Hope you enjoyed this! Thanks for stopping by!

Future Photographer?/Sketch-N-Scrap #65

Hi! I hope everyone is having a great week! I have a layout I did using Sketch-N-Scrap's awesome sketch.  Here is the sketch and my layout:

The supplies I used are Bo Bunny and Studio Calico.  I decided to talk a walk down our road to hopefully get some pictures of the sunset.  I asked my son to go with me and he informed me he would go only if he could take the pictures! He took some pretty good shots.  I just have to convience him to slow down. He moves before he is finished taking the picture! Anyway I am proud of him. Who knows? He might become a photographer! Thanks for stopping by!

Rejoice/Sketch-N-Scrap Inspired

Hello Everyone! Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I did and here is why....My son accepted Jesus into his life!! I am so excited about this! Of course I had to make a layout about it.  I used the Inspired sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap.  Here it is:

Here is my layout:

I changed it around a bit. Instead of the squares I used corrugated paper for the circles.  Above the picture I made a journaling flap that can be opened by the brad.  I didn't take a picture of it because I have already written inside of it and it is private.  The supplies I used are Fancy Pants Designs, Bazzill Basics, American Crafts, My Mind's Eye and Studio Calico.  Thanks for stopping by!!

Matt Redman/Stuck?! Sketch Challenge

Hello Everyone! It is hard to believe that the end of September is near. Where does the time go? I have a layout I did for Stuck?! second sketch challenge.  Oh and if you haven't heard it is their anniversary and to celebrate they have some great prizes!! Here is their sketch and my layout:

I turned the sketch to accommodate my pictures. Originally I was going to keep the sketch as is, but then looking at my pictures I did have 3 "good ones."
The supplies I used are American Crafts, Crate Paper, Bazzill Basics, Little Yellow Bicycle and Ranger Ink.
My son loves the song 10,000 Reasons (Bless My Soul) by Matt Redman.  When we found out that he was going to be performing at our Church we made sure to be there! He had such a good time and so did I! Thanks for stopping by!!

Have you heard the news? Colorful Creations is having a design team call! They have a bi-weekly sketch challenge with some twists! The term will run from October 1st to April 1st.  Call ends September 23rd.
More details about the excpectaions and how to apply can be found here.

Here is the sketch and my layout to apply for the design team:

I turned the sketch, but kept the rest pretty close to the sketch.  The supplies I used are Bazzill Basics, Studio Calico, Bella Blvd., Simple Stories, My Mind's Eye, and Jellibean Soup.

AND guess what I did? When I was reading Colorful Creations's blog about the Design Team call I did not read it right. I just saw the sketch and started working on a layout.  When I finished my layout I reread the blog and saw that it said use FALL COLORS! Ahh, but no worries because I still got an awesome layout of it! Here it is:
The supplies I used on this  are Fancy Pants Designs, Studio Calico, Bazzill Basics and My Mind's Eye.

My Boy/Stuck?! September 1st Challenge

Have you heard the news? It is Stuck?! Blog Challenge's first anniversary! Congratulations!! They have a great sketch and here it is:
Great, right? Told you! Here is what I came up with:

The supplies I used are Fancy Pants Designs, Studio Calico, My Mind's Eye and Ranger Ink.  The words I wish I could take credit for, but I saw it on Pintest.  This is what it says:

I adore his smile
I cherish his hugs
I admire his heart
but most of all
I love that he is
My Boy

Honestly, it was suppose to say My Son, but I did not have an S for son so I improvised! Thanks for stopping by!

Karate Kid/Sketch-N-Scrap #64

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is having a great week! I have a sketch I did using Sketch-N-Scrap #64 sketch.  Here is the sketch and my layout:

I used the sketch basically how it was except I did not include a third photo. I decided to move the title down.  The supplies I used are Bazzill Basics, Ranger, Tim Holtz, Twine and Ink, Studio Calico, Amy Tangerine and Bella Blvd.  This was Noah's first day of Karate class.  This is the first time he has been excited about doing something besides playing video games! This was a big deal for us!  Of course I had to document.  He did not and would not smile.  I think he is tired of me taking pictures of him! Anyone else go through this with thier child?  I hope you have an awesome week! Thanks for stopping by!

3 Cool Dudes/Sketch-N-Scrap #63

Hi everyone! I have another layout I did using another great sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap.  Here is their sketch and my layout:

As you can tell I changed the sketch to suit my picture.  I turned it on the side and moved the banner to the bottom.  The supplies I used are Crate Paper and American Crafts.  This picture was taken on Orientation Night or better known as Meet the Teacher.  Noah (in the middle) is with his two best friends Tucker and Kaleb.  All three of them have been in the same class since kindergarten.  They always play great together and I hope they will always be freinds!  Thanks for stopping by!

First Day of School/S-N-S Inspired by Sketch #8

Happy Monday!  We are settling into a routine of getting back into school.  I have been wanting to scrap this picture ever since I took it! Why not use Sketch-N-Scrap's awesome sketch for the Inspired by Sketch?  Here is the sketch and my layout:

The supplies I used are Simple Stories, Studio Calico, Heidi Swapp, and Bazzill Basics.  This picture was taken on the first day of school.  He is now at the Intermediate School in 3rd grade.  The elementary, intermediate and middle school all are on the same block.  It is different because he is not with me.  He is my only one so everything is a big deal!  Anyway, thank you for stopping by! It means a lot to me. Have an awesome day!!

King of the Jungle/Sketch-N-Scrap #62

Hi! I have a layout I did for Sketch-N-Scrap challenge.  Here is the sketch:

Here is what I came up with:

Our cat, Mr. Whiskers, took to laying on this log in the evenings. He is an outside cat who adopted us.  Sometimes he is easily spooked so I wasn't sure if he was going to let me take some pictures.  He did! He looked at me first like 'What are you doing?' and then 'Leave me alone!' Ha!  Thanks for stopping by!
