3 Amigos/123 Get Scrappy!
I found a new challenge blog and it is 123 Get Scrappy!. They have one challenge a month and it is like a tic-tac-toe board with a technique, theme or embellishment listed in each block. Here is the board for this month:
The supplies I used are Echo Park, Tim Holtz, Bazzill, and American Crafts. This picture is of my son with his two best friends Kaleb and Isaac. They were in the first grade together and now will be in the second grade together. They play so well together and never argue. I can't get over how tall my son is. I believe he is the tallest kid in the whole school! Anyway, I am so glad they are friends and hope they will always be friends!! I hope you like my layout and thanks for stopping by!
Broken/Sketch-N-Scrap
Sketch-N-Scrap has a new sketch for their mid month challenge. Here is the sketch and my layout:
The supplies I used are Crate Paper. I still have to do journaling. I decided to wait to add the journaling because it is private. Yes, this is me when I was 11. I was in the hospital with a broken hip and a fractured pelvis. I was in the hospital for 15 days. I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!
Game Day/Scrap Our Stash
This weeks challenge at Scrap Our Stash is "Game On." The challenge is to create a layout using the sketch below and include one game card and/or game piece. I thought of the picture I took of Noah the day we played Monopoly. He begged us to play. He loved it until he lost all of his money! Needless to say we haven't played it again. I am sure we will play again when he learns the concept of money. The supplies used are Doodlebug, Queen & Co., and EK Success. I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!!
Hello/Let's Get Sketchy
It is that time again, school is about to start. I know I have said this before but, where does the time go? Noah is going to be in the second grade. It seemed like only yesterday I was pregnant with him. This past week was 'Meet the Teacher.' I snapped a photo of Noah with his new teacher. We are super excited that she is going to be his teacher! I did this layout using the collection Memories Captured from Fancy Pants. I also used the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy. I turned the sketch on its side to accommodate my picture. Here is the sketch and my layout:

Happiness is.../Lets Get Sketchy
There is a new sketch at Lets Get Sketchy. The sketch called for two photos, but I decided to use one and use the other space to journal. The card is part of the collection from Fancy Pants' Park Bench. I wrote what happiness was to me on our vacation. I pop dotted the photo and the journaling card. Here is the sketch and my layout. I hope you like it and tanks for stopping by!

Lunch with Nana/Sketch-N-Scrap
It is the first of August and that means a new sketch at Sketch-N-Scrap. Here is the sketch:
I chose some pictures I took of my mom and son when she took us out for lunch one day. They have a special bond and love spending time together. Here is my take on it:
I used Everyday Eclectic by Allison Kreft from Echo Park. I love this collection. I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!
Hello Splash Pad/Scrap Our Stash
At Scrap Our Stash the challenge is to create a Summer themed layout using 3 or more die-cut embellishments. I used pictures from when I took Noah to the splash pad yesterday. He loves the splash pad as much as being in the pool. With school starting in 15 days I thought this would be a nice treat for him. Here is my layout:
The supplies I used are from Fancy Pants. The hello die cut is from Amy Tangerine. The green die cut and white star die cut I have had for a long time. I don't even know where I got them. I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!
My Guy/About A Boy
About A Boy has a new challenge this month. It is to create a layout using a school age photograph. It is hard to believe that school starts in 15 days! I decided to use Noah's spring pictures from this year. (I have no idea about the smile. It looks like a forced smile!) I will add some journaling later. The supplies I used are Bazzill, Little Yellow Bicycle, Simple Stories, and Jillibean Soup.
I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

Blue/Scrap The Boys
The August challenge for Scrap the Boys is to use one color, twine and chipboard. This challenge was perfect to document my son's everyday favorite color. It changes everyday! The day I took this photo he happened to mention that his favorite color was blue. The supplies I used are Cosmo Cricket, Doodlebug Designs, Studio G, and Fancy Pants.
I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!
The Moment/Use Your Words
I love the blog Use Your Words. It challenges me so much and this is such a awesome concept for scrapbooking! They have a new challenge this month. The word to use is MOMENT. This quote is on their blog:
"What I like about photographs is that they capture a MOMENT that's gone forever, impossible to reproduce." -Karl Lagerfeld
It made me think about the first time I saw my son because that moment IS gone forever, but my husband caught it in a photograph that he took. My little one made a four week early appearance and it is a miracle that he is here. I thank God everyday for him. (Sniff! Feeling a little sentimental. I always do this at the beginning of a school year and his birthdays.) The supplies I used on this layout are Crate Paper, Maya Road and Tim Holtz.
I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!
