Hello Scrappy Friends! Hope everyone is well and find some time to scrap! I found some time this weekend to use this great sketch from Laura at Stuck?! sketches blog challenge. Here is the sketch and my layout:
Here is a close up:
To be honest, I tried several different papers to use with this sketch and nothing looked right to be. The pictures were not great, I had an unwilling participant! I wanted bright cheerful colors because of Dr. Seuss. I decided to use Ranger Ink Distress Paint in place of the paper. I had some left over Dr. Seuss themed stickers I had bought for my son a couple of years ago. I had added some of them to cardstock so I could pop dot it. Other supplies I used are Kaisercraft, Fancy Pants Designs, Ranger Ink, Tim Holtz, and Bella Blvd.
As some of you know this past week was Read Across America to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday. It is more celebrated in the elementary schools than other schools. I had to beg my son to pose with these pictures for me. As he gets older it is harder for me to get pictures of him. I will take what I can get!
Thanks for stopping by!
I love the colored inks in the background and that scribble cut is perfect. I am Dr Seuss fan too!
