Sad Times/Scrap The Boys

Hello everyone!  I have a layout I wanted to share with you that I did Scrap The Boys challenge blog.  The challenge for this month is:

With my son being 10, he doesn't have too many tantrums or crying, but I do get the mad looks!   I love these types of challenges because it allows me to step outside the box.   Here is my layout:

Actually, this story is quite funny.  I had to go to the mall to pick up something and I went by my favorite clothing store to pay on my credit card bill.  I did not know they were having a sale!  I started shopping.  Of course, my son was not happy at all.  Later I found this picture and text he had taken and sent to my husband.  I found out later he also sent it to my mom! I guess he thought someone was going to rescue him!!  Haha! He hates to go shopping!!
The supplies I used on this layout are Strathmore, Heidi Swapp, Ranger Ink, Freckled Fawn,
Fancy Pants Designs, Amy Tangerine, and Echo Park.

Choices, So Many! /The Memory Nest

Hello everyone!  This is our last week of freedom before school starts next week.  Where did summer go?  A couple of weeks ago we went shopping for school supplies. I snapped a picture of my son trying to decide on which backpack he wanted for this school year.  I thought this picture was perfect for The Memory Nest Summer Challenge.  You can find details here.  This sketch is Make it Monday #67 and here it is:

Here is my layout:

I love this sketch! I will be using this sketch again!! Instead of using 4 triangles I used 7.  I used the collection Life In Color from Simple Stories.
Don't forget to stop by The Memory Nest and play along with The Summer Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Searching for Treasure/The Studio Challenges

Hello friends! I have a layout that I want to share with you that I did for The Studio Challenges.  The third challenge for July is to use multiple photos.  Here is my layout:

The supplies I used for this layout are Bazzill Basics, Amy Tangerine, Carta Bella, Twine + Ink, My Mind's Eye, Jillibean Soup, Freckled Fawn and Bella Blvd.
I took this pictures from our vacation this summer.  There is a booth where you buy a bag of gems or arrow heads and then you "mine" for your treasures.  My son is at that age where he loves rocks, gems, and arrow heads.  He loved it except when he caught me taking pictures!
Thanks for stopping by!

Ms. Jackie/Picture This! Challenge Blog

Hello friends! I have a layout that I did of Ms. Jackie and my son, Noah.  Ms. Jackie is a sweet lady who works in the lunchroom where my son attends school.  She takes extra care of him at lunch like giving him two of something he likes to eat! He wanted to get her a gift during Teacher Appreciation week.  He told he me that he knew she wasn't a teacher, but he just had to get her a present! She was beyond thrilled! I just had to scrapbook the moment! The mood board at Picture This! Challenge was perfect for the layout.  Here is the mood board and my layout:

I was inspried by the bottom left corner pictures and also the blue/pink colors.  The supplies I used are from the collection 'The Print Shop' from Studio Calico.  Thanks for stopping by!
